Millions of free Internet e-mail accounts provided by Microsoft's Hotmail service were susceptible to a major security breach that allowed access Monday to users' accounts.

It's hard to feel sympathy for the users that were victimized by this incident. Maybe I'm just overly cautious, but, as a general rule, I avoid products or services that have the following characteristics:

(1) They're free
(2) They have the word 'Hot' in their names

This is like giving your credit card number to www.HotCreditCardNumbers.com and later complaining that strangers had access to your credit card number.

Toilet plunger-like device called better than CPR

It was also called better than sex and bigger than Jesus, but not as good as sliced bread.
